Manastash Cow tag
« on: August 06, 2014, 06:32:04 AM »
New to the site and not looking for any ones hunting spot.  Drew a cow tag this year in the Manastash.  I have a cabin near Bald Mountain road and was wondering if someone could tell me if there is an easy route into the Manastash from Bald Mountain road.  I usually hunt in the Bethel Unit so this is new territory for me.  Any help would be appreciated.

In Cliffdel (sp?) at that gas station (Shell?)/restaurant (Wistling Jack's?) they have a Sherrif's map ($10) that's the best map I saw for the Nile and Naches area.  I can't remember for sure if it covers the Manastash as well.  It does have the GMU boundaries on it.  I know it covers more hunting areas than those two but I just can't remember which ones.  If you're in that area, stop and take a look at it.  It might help.  (Facing the counter the maps are in rack to to left side.)  If I remember I'll try and find my map tonight and check it out for sure.  For some reason Bald Mt Road sticks out in my mind.
