That topo app is sweet.

Is it for all of WA? Do they have other states?

Looks to be nation wide, Dale.

Yup it's all the topo maps by map section, just download what you need and my phone uses satellites to pinpoint my location without needing service.

Like I said very accurate. Could tell I was fifty feet off trail...

You can set way points and things too.

As for a camera I use the iPhone for that, but FTF uses a nice camera and handles the photography on our trips.

How do you keep your phone charged? Solar panel or back up battery thing.

Added the beanie and adjusted some weights I had wrong. Looking to adjust alittle more but can't find much to mess with.

Drilled some holes in the handle of my spork though I don't think I saved much :chuckle:

I keep it in airplane mode and only turn it on when I need it. Lasts for DAYS.

Drilled holes. Wow. I'm not sure you're going to approve of my gear list. I'll just keep it to myself and unpack in my tent so you don't see all the crap I'll have.

I got a much lighter pack. I went to a golite sl3 from my sierra designs vapor light tent. I didn't save much weight there but some ...a half pound or so. My problem is weeding out all the little piddly things that are not heavy by themselves but added up, they are. For example...I'm having a huge mental debate because I've always carried Havalon, fixed blade and gerber multitool. I know I don't need all those, I just have to convince myself to leave one if them here. I should leave the fixed blade knife but I probably won't.

Id leave the multi tool.

Well I'm all packed up and without the gun I'm at 29lbs. With the gun I'm at 36.6 and will probably carry just my 70oz bladder in since water will be plentiful.

Hoping to come out heavy.

I've got too much crap and am at 40 pounds all up. Ready to roll and looking forward to a few days in the mountains.
