Here we go
« on: August 09, 2014, 07:36:46 PM »
So this hunting season will be a very short one for me. I was told yesterday that I will need brain surgery. I will make this hunting season one to remember. When I first moved here to Washington all I wanted to do was harvest a black bear. I have until mid September to do this because that is when my surgery will be. I'm heading out tomorrow to hunt in Bremerton with high hopes of getting one!

Don't take this as me asking for any pity or sympathy.

Wow. That's heavy man. Hope you get some pointers from those that know your area. Maybe chat with Dale about a map pack and weekend stay? Either way, good luck on the hunt and kick whatevers ass is giving you a problem.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.  After my wife had brain surgery 2 years ago, and in some ways is still recovering, I am wishing you the best

Please excuse my ignorance, but who is Dale and what is a map pack?

It's good to know that we can count you amongst the Hunters that have brains. There are way too many out there that can't even hold air between their ears.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you...

Sorry to hear that jtramell! I'll keep you in my prayers for a speedy and complete recovery. Good luck on getting that bear. I don't know that area well and haven't had much luck getting one myself lately. If anyone deserves to get one... You do! Best of luck bro!
