It was taken somewhere around St. Helens in the blast zone. Lots of satellite bulls right there

So this photo was taking in the Margaret high country to clear things up.  Lots of comments that it's a painting or photoshopped.   Nimrod or Ryan Aune is who took the photo, and I know that because I was with him.  He also has about 20 other pics, along with some video of the herd.  As far as the comments on satellite bulls, this is what you get for bulls in the Margaret,  they don't get much bigger.  As far as I could count there is 39 bulls but my eyes started to get crossed so I could be wrong.  Also there was one for sure with the rot in the herd.  I don't get on huntwa much anymore so sorry I didn't post it and share with you all.  Thanks for all the likes on facebook, instagram, etc.  Glad most all of you appreciate it.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

Amazing photos, right up there with the elk shedding antlers action photo! There are a few 6 points in the group. I'd really like to see more of the heavy 5/5 (?) in the middle of the mosh pit. Thanks for posting.

Saw that same sand patch about three weeks before that picture was taken....looks like the antlers are coming around nicely!  Bring salt, pepper and fork....enjoy the meal if you get one there!!

in the same canyon we seen this herd there was three more herds bedded on dirt mounds just like these guys.  One herd was a large bunch of cows with two small bulls.  Another small herd of about 10 cows, and another small herd of about 10 bulls.  If you go on Google Earth and look at these exact same dirt patches you'll see Elk in 3 of the 4 spots.  I just noticed those other herds on there today, but I'll have to assume these are mineral deposits.   It was clear when I seen it in person that these spots have been used for years, every spot had trails from every direction cut in going right to these spots.

Maybe it's time to go stake a mineral claim.

I've got my hands on an archery any bull tag, for me, most of those will do just fine.  Cant friggin wait.  Hopefully they'll be running all over the place by mid September.
