A. 22lr will not kill a turkey without multiple shots to the body. Very good reason to not use a 22. A head shot well placed will work but even then that's difficult.

Not sure how you come about that knowledge but here's how I'll refute it.I shot one of my big 35 lb tom turkeys that went on a chick killing spree. I hit it through the chest with a .22 lr and it went about 20' and died. He was twice as big as a wild jake.
