Bow string question.
« on: August 14, 2014, 09:31:36 AM »
So I purchased my first bow last year and made a half hearted attempt at hunting deer. When I started shooting my bow again this summer, I noticed my bow string is getting kinda rough. My question is do you guys replace the string yourself or do you take it somewhere. Are there certain sizes or types? I know next to nothing, other than how to shoot my bow like a blind kid. So any direction you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I would take it in. Also, I'd be getting some wax on it. I don't know if I do enough/not enough.....but I usually wax mine about every other trip to the range.

Sounds like you just need a good wax job to me.

I'll take a picture of it tonight and see what you guys think. It'd be nice if all it needs is wax.
