Good Hatch
« on: July 28, 2014, 09:55:10 PM »
I've got 3 broods in my backyard right now.  There are a total of 20 chicks, but one of the hens only turned up with 3.  It looks to be a decent hatch from what is running around our place.  Anyone else have a report?

Hatch's we're seeing in lower Stevens county seem to be averaging 6-8 birds.  Looks like they're off to a very good start.

Good hatches in Klickitat County....I've seen several hens with 4-7 chicks apiece.

Saw three different groups this morning.  Ballpark count while driving....7 hens and about 24 chicks.

We've got a group of 9 hens with only 2 poults that hang around our place.  :yike:

There is another group with more chicks but we don't have a count on them yet. We had a lot of rain in June, I don't think our hatches went all that well here but will know more in a couple weeks as they move more into the open.
