Wolf poop?
« on: August 15, 2014, 01:25:49 AM »
My buddy sent this to me the other day, found partially covered in dirt between Springdale and Loon Lake, GMU 124.
He said he disected it, it had small bones and hair of some kind of critter. As he got to the middle, it wreaked of dead animal.
Neither one of us can say we have positively seen wolf or cougar scat, but he said this pile was way too big for a yodel dog.

All I can say is
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

Some times they dont bury it and sometimes they do. And sometimes they bury half  they are just like a house cat.  Wolf poo is normally better connected and less segmented

The wolf poop I've seen is the size of a kielbasa sausage. Same size and length most of the time.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Went to check my trail cam Friday and found this at the trail head. Did not have a knifE or quarter to throw in the pic for size, but was bratwurst size. What do you think?
