tree stand is up !!!!
« on: August 15, 2014, 01:59:03 PM »
went up today checked the trail cam and set up one of tree stands at the top of the gully at the end of the creek, plenty of bear and deer on the camera again saw two bucks one of which I believe to be the four point I'm after, wile setting up the trees stand heard some other deer huffing and puffing trying to figure me out from under cover ,kinda sounded like the perfume counter at north town the other day :chuckle:anyway I'm adding a bear tag to all the excitement this year for the very first time ever ,cant help it they eat all my record rack they keep trying to eat the camera off the tree, there on the camera every time so here goes, well good luck this season specially you guys up in 364 I'm taking the year off from up there, another first time ever well gotta go studying on how to hunt bear with a bow and stay out of the newspapers :chuckle: :chuckle: :o :o :o

What kind of stands are you guys leaving out there?  I had a really nice portable climbing stand stolen years ago and I've been hesitant to leave another in the woods, no matter how far from the road it is.  The one I had stolen was a good ways in and cabled with brush around it...

 :yeah:
Mine has been up since the 12th of July and are only about a mile and a half from the flames.  :yike: even better the area is closed for me to get to them. I guess no one will be walking away with them lol. If I do get in there to hunt it :archery_smiley:  something is gonna hit the dirt.
