that is awesome! great pictures!
having worked on our buffalo ranch I always say line up the ear with the eye and go back about 2 inches and you'll break the neck every time. 25-06, 270, 308, 30-06, 7mm, 45-70, all worked fine.

Hey Bone,
We didn't shoot any really big bucks. Just didn't see any. On the last day of the Colorado hunt I shot a 27 inch buck that will probably gross about 170 and net in the low to mid 160s. Not what I was hoping for but we had a great time anyway. My bro shot a buck late in the hunt that will gross in the low 160s. The highlight for us was hunting with the kids and watching them take their bucks and Buffalo.

Congrats, Groundhog! Your girls look super psyched.

That is a ton of fun for the whole family. Just a beautiful place and Bill and Kyle are two of the nicest folks you'll meet.

The Flying D ranch is another TEI owned ranch and actually larger and more set up for meat harvest business.

Bill wasn't around so Dave D and Kyle helped us and you are right. We could not have asked for nicer people. I love that country, Antelope, Moose, Elk, Whitetails, and Mule deer. It is pretty hard to beat. The only problem is that most of the best property is private.

I think 50Cal and I seen you skinning one of those beasts. Was it hung from a front end loader at Ted's ranch managers place? I think it was Tues Nov. 18th. I'm going to save my MT fee this coming year and go get one of those beasts. You are right, it's not really hunting but it will fill my freezer.

Klickriverchromer,
the fishin was great in Alaska!! Lots of big Bows and a river full of Salmon!

Wea300.mag,
Yep, that was us. The front end loader made the skinning job much easier!

PaBen,
They let us keep the head and hide. Originally I thought that I would have the hides tanned and made into rugs until I found out how much it cost. The hides were really nice I just couldn't justify the cost. The lowest price I could find was six fifty to eight hundred for each hide depending on size. Too rich for my blood. I had the skulls europeaned for 140 each and called it good. I European all my own deer and elk but didn't have a pot large enough for the Buf heads.

did you trade the taxidermist the hide for a couple pairs of gloves or anything like that? I bet a buff hide is pretty big.

Are those young bulls or cows?
