cooler near naselle
« on: August 19, 2014, 02:12:35 PM »
I was wondering what the nearest cooler to naselle would be. I'm wanting to process my own meat so I will just need a place to hang a elk if I get lucky. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

That one is easy, the liquor store has a cooler in the back that you can pay a daily or weekly fee to hang your animal in.  Its the best thing ever.  That's right behind the grocery store in Naselle (but you have to go inside the liquor store to do it).  I haven't been there in a few years, but Gloria always let me go take a look when we were feeling down.

I checked last year too.  The lady at the gas station said that the older lady had passed away.  I'm tagging this because I would be interested if there is anything else close.

From the Frances Meat's website:

Do you provide cold storage?

No! I don't have enough space available. You might check with Larry Nichols 360-291-8805 (Near rainbow Falls State park near the 35 mile marker Highway 6)

There is also Patriotic Packing. They are just east of Raymond. Closer then Frances Meats. Frances Meats is a great butcher shop but they get a ton of business so there isn't any extra room.

The liquor store in Naselle is back open, I spoke with her last week. Freezer and hanging space available. Good luck.
