Arrow rest drop away
« on: December 08, 2008, 10:51:12 PM »
I have a new bow on the way and I am looking at fall away arrow rests. I am considering the TT Extereme Top slot and the QAD Ultra Pro. Any info you have on these rests or others that you prefer would be appreciated. Pros and cons of your experience with them a plus. Just FYI I prefer a drop away

I've currently got a Whisker Biscuit but I too am looking to go to a drop away for my new bow.  The TT top slot is what a couple of my friends have been using and they swear by 'em.  It is what I have been leaning towards but I'd like to hear from others as well.

I went from A Drop Zone to a QAD Ultra-rest hd pro series and love it,never had any probs with it,set up was easy, smooth drop no noise, and plenty of clearance for blazer vanes,I would recommend it to anyone, the TT Top Slot is not a full containment like the QAD.

Not familiar with the model TT listed, but if it`s anything like their other products i`m sure it will serve you well.

I love my Trophy Ridge Drop Zone.  I used Trophy takers before and they were ok, but the Drop Zone works perfect for me.   :twocents:

I too have been looking to go the way of a drop away rest with my new bow. I've been reading the reviews on the different rests on the Cabela's web site as well as looking at Gander Mountain. I feel the more input from others that I can get the better.

The QAD Ultra Rest HD Pro- series has caught my eye but the price is a bit much at $135. The Trophy Taker Extream FC has been recamended, still $120 is a lot for me with limited income.
God Bless,
Scott

Spot Hogg Whammy!  Best fall away on the market!  IMO... Used the trophy taker for 4 years and loved it but the whammy is definetly a better solution!  Drops 5x faster and stays in the upright postion at all times so if the cord breaks you can still shoot it as a prong rest.  Also, by being in the upright position at all times you do not have to worry about an arrow holder as the prongs are your arrow holder at all times therefore not allowing your arrow to fall off of the shelf...  It's a great rest - go to www.spot-hogg.com and watch the video on it for more info...

Thanks for the tip. I'm actually new to Archery Talk and haven't done any looking around as of yet.

Ebay I have looked at for the sight I want, a Black Gold 5 or 7 pin "ignite" or "flashpoint". Currently have an older BG "montana"
God Bless,
Scott
