Deer Hunting partner in Rattlesnake-Benton City area?
« on: August 15, 2014, 02:03:06 AM »
Howdy! I'm new the forum and have only been hunting about 5 years.  I haven't deer hunted in WA at all- the only two deer I've bagged were in Georgia.

I'm not looking for someone to take me out and show me where to hunt or tell me where to go- but I wouldn't turn you down.  :chuckle:  I'm hoping to find someone else in the area that wants to do some scouting and hunting here locally or close by.

I live in Benton City and there is some public land out the back end of Benton City towards Vantage Hwy I'm planning on walking and scouting starting next week.  There are a lot of deer out this way with all the orchards nearby, I just don't know how much time they will be on the public land since it is mostly sagebrush. Not a lot of cover or water.

I'm 30 years old and in decent shape.  I'm not a gym rat, but I can walk several miles without issues.  There may be decent dirt paths we can use mtn bikes on as well.

If you are in the Tri Cities area and want to meet up for some scouting and hunting, let me know.  I'm not set on this particular area, but I have seen the deer around here and its close to my house so that's why I was wanting to try it.  If you are new to hunting or fairly new like me, that's great! We can learn together

And I hunt modern firearm.

I'm in the same boat! I'm 29 in decent shape live in the Tri- Cities and willing to put in some work. I'm new to WA and this will be my first year hunting deer here. What's funny is I shot my first and only buck in GA as well lol. Let me know what your scheduled like and maybe we can get out in the field soon?
