Wednesday's rain event brought the blacktails out. By the afternoon my boots were almost full of water, but I was seeing a lot of deer. Pulled on a 3x3 and this guy stepped into view. Feeling very lucky this season, as I'm sure many of you are.
Dang nice 1st post ...that's a good blacktail  :dunno:

After spending the first 2/3 of the day cleaning up from the storm, I headed out. Got to a clearcut where I'd been seeing does regularly. They were there, and this guy was hanging out with them.

If you don't do it this year, you'll be one year older when you do.

Awesome choice with the rifle.  Tell me it is a .32 Winchester Special?

This was my first mule deer buck and was a little shocked by it. I have never seen a mule deer in this area before, all whitetails but I'm not complaining.

Mason County Buck 10/25/14, in a fire arms restricted area, my first buck with a shotgun!  He was chasing the doe's pretty hard.  And yes I took my hunter orange off for the pictures.

Congrats man. Heck of a buck.
