Maybe realizing internet chatter can lead to crowds at your honey hole...

I have experienced it first hand and it really changed the way I post. It is really kind of sad.

I have experienced it first hand and it really changed the way I post. It is really kind of sad. This is why when you see me posting pictures I never show any background ...Zoom that sucker in close and shoot away I'm a huge promoter of this forum but I won't post location pictures anymore if it is a public land spot. Hell, I won't even post private land spots. I went on a big (for me) backcountry hunting trip this past weekend and took some pictures. I took some strategically angled photos so as to not reveal location but then I thought about it and decided there wasn't much point in posting those, since there wasn't much to talk about.
It is quiet....I just assumed you had all given up and let me have it all to myself!I agree with elkohol though...the ingenuity that comes from backcountry hunters looking to push themselves lighter, farther, and more efficient is what I like about this forum.
I've been doing the HH solo for the last few years...Just found out my brother in law (avid hiker and duck hunter, but only hunted deer once) wants to come along. Should be a good few days! I'm looking forward to lightening the load! QUESTION: When taking somebody who's new to spot and stalk hunting, do you all glass together, or set them up on their own and go to the next ridge? I like to cover more ground, but I want to set him up for success...
