Didja win anything ?
That's a $500 squawfish if I'm not mistaken
That's about the best comeback line I've seen in a while.
Length:14.5 inchesCaught this guy today on a spinner!I also caught some bass too that i released.but this guy...oh man.Hes tagged by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.although i'm not registered, and my dad is out of town.So i have to keep him till tomorrow.
Um, how is she breaking the law?
Rules were apparently broken. Check.Laws broken...I don't see it that way. Sorry that the OP will/may/should/has missed out on the bounty. Good learning experience, way to remove yet one more problem fish from the population. Now, get registerd and go get another one!
The OP clearly stated that he/she wasn't registered and wanted to wait for dad to get home so they could go back, register, and collect for the fish. This is not playing by the rules. The right way to mentor a youngster is to tell them that cheating fish & wildlife laws is not the way to go, ever. Unless I'm missing something here...? Next, it'll be what's the harm in using barbed hooks or keeping a natural steelie because no one's looking and it's a really nice fish. It's one thing to make an honest mistake. It's another altogether to knowingly break the rules.

I'm an honest person, and with a deep interest in conservation, management, etc, i don't want that on my record if i ever plan on joining the WDFW service. $500 would've been nice, but i think i'd rather have salmon.
