My last 14 days.... May give some a few ideas.

You gain inspiration where you can find it... Some may call him a meat head, some may call me a meat head. It is what it is... Cameron Hanes has been a huge motivator for me to strive towards fitness goals.

I'd like to share my last 14 days in preparation of becoming the ultimate predator in the wilderness...

Day 1. (5 Rounds)
Jacobs Ladder 200'
Run hose tower (4 flights up and down, 5 times)
Underhand medicine ball toss (20lb ball 10 times)
Jump Lunges (20)
Push Ups to Failure (50, 45, 45, 45, 50)
Run 200m

Day 2 (2 Rounds)
Run 1 Mile (7:46 and 7:19)
Burpees (15)
Row 500 Meters (1:35 and 1:40)
Pull Ups to Failure (20 and 18)
Dips to Failure (45 and 40)

Day 3 (4 Rounds)
One Arm Dumb Bell Snatches (10 each arm)
Rope Climb (2)
40" Box Jumps (10)
Sled Push Down/Back (180lbs)

Day 4 (3 Rounds)
Power Cleans (135lb x 10)
Step Mill (25 flights- 3:10)
Air Squats with Wt. (30 w/50lb bag)
Jacobs Ladder 300'
Ab Rollers (15)

Day 5
Step Mill 100 Flights @ 126 Steps per min.

Day 6
Run 1 mile
(2) 1 min. Sprints w/30 sec. rest
Then 2 Rounds of...
Kettlebell Thrusters (10 @ 60lbs)
Full Extension Pull Ups to failure
45lb Plate Front Raise (10)

Day 7 (3 Rounds)
Jacobs Ladder (300')
Run Hose Tower (20 Flights, 5 up and down)
Toes to Bar- Failure
Jump Squats (20)
Run 200m

Day 8- Hike with weighted pack

Day 9 (3 Rounds)
Deadlift, Hang Clean, Front Squat (135lb x 8)
Pull Ups
Step Mill (20 Flights under 3 min)
Dips to Failure
Ab Roller (15)

Day 10 (6 Rounds)
Walking Lunges with wt. (70lbs.-10 per leg)
Step up's (36" box 10 per leg)
Sprint 1/4 mile

Day 11 (4 Rounds)
Burpee Pull ups (10)
Kettlebell Upright Row (1 arm- 10 per arm)
Planks (90 Sec.)

Day 12 (3 Rounds)
Hang Cleans (135lb- 10)
Bench (135lbs to failure- 30, 25, 21)
Run Hose Tower w/wt. (65lb vest. 12 flights)
Single Leg Squats (10/leg)
Hack Squats (10)

Day 13 (3 Rounds)
Burpee Long Jumps (10)
Toes to Bar (10)
TRX Decline Push Ups- Feet on 36' Box (10)
Hammer Swings (10lb, 15/side)
Shuttle Run with Bands (10/side)
Slider Push Up Planks (10)

Day 14 (2 Rounds)
Jump Lunges (15/side)
Jacobs Ladder (300' for time. 2:04, 1:54)
Straight Leg Dead Lifts (10)
Dips to Failure

16 more days until I embark on my hunt. Good luck everybody. Looking forward to seeing some Backcountry Bucks!

Wow ! Poor critters.....  heh.   I was running 4 miles, hill work with 50# pack, pumping iron and couple hundred incline situps - thought I was doing well til I tried squat jumps - dang got to 20 and I was done.  Those may be the simplest and best exercises for hill hiking ?  Few days of those and I went up and down Mount St. Helens like it was nothing.
