Books cost $15

If you plan to attend please send me a PM here or leave a msg on my home phone 360-264-5316. If you leave a telephone msg, please speak slowly and clearly.   (I blame the old answering machine, not my old ears)

Is there a test?  Or do I just have to go to the class and then get my license?

Multiple choice test at the end of class, then you get a certificate showing you passed Trapper Ed. I 'hand deliver' the paperwork to WDFW on Monday morning and it takes about 1 week to get your info into their computer system. Then you can go down to Walmart or where ever you buy hunting/fishing license and get the license. Current price for a Trapping License is about forty bucks. Not too bad considering you can trap from Nov. 1 through March 31.

Would it be wise to get the book before the class?

Not necessary to read the book beforehand. We go over everything in class.

I have called George several times the last 3 years and still have not been able to take the class. He keeps saying call me back on such and such a date, I do, then no return phone call. Everyone will say hes busy this time of year, but guess what, I don't care, I really want to be able to trap and it seems like he is the only one to be able to set something up. So what can be done about it? Can someone else be in charge? How many guys do you want in a class? I bet I can get 10, is that enough for a class in Goldendale?

I don't think either is an instructor. Bob Maier is and in Walla Walla. Best to talk to George Brady. He can find the closest instructor for you and make some arrangements for you.
