Tips/advice bow hunting vancouver area
« on: August 28, 2014, 10:04:03 AM »
Thanks for reading.  I'm in a bit of a crunch on my situation and am trying to figure out where to hunt last minute.  My ship (active duty coast guard) just got extended in drydock in Portland.  I normally hunt skagit valley.  We just found out we will be here until October 10th.  The person I was going to hunt with fell through.  If anyone could give me some ideas on areas to hunt dear/elk around here please help me out.  I've only had time to scout 1 day near MT St Helens and I didn't see crap.  I wasn't planning on hunting here until yesterday when I found out we were getting extended.

Try GMU 506 a lot of animals come out of there.   Not giving you my honey hole but we have done well there.

506 requires a permit for most of it, weyco on the north half and rayonier on the south.
