vancouver area elk help

Kinda a double post but I'm active duty coast guard and am stuck in Portland drydock this season so I have to hunt new areas.  If anyone could help me out or just tell me some areas to look I'll do the work.  I just really don't know where elk or deer are down here.  Also if anyone want a partner for the season I have 10 days off 2-10 sept and I'm 29 going on 30 in 3 months.  I do have a wedding I have to attention on the 6th.
