Snow Geese 2014
« on: August 28, 2014, 12:03:16 PM »
So I have a proposition for any of you fine people that have some experience in hunting snow geese. I have a membership at a very exclusive duck club (under 8 people hunt) in the Monroe/ Carnation area. I am willing to bring someone a long as a guest for a day or two in exchange for some much needed knowledge and the opportunity to tag along on a hunt. I dont care if its private or public as long as we have fun! Let me know if you're interested!

Also I should add, if you are interested, you have my word (this used to mean something) that you won't catch me or anyone I know hunting your honey holes on your next trip out. I do not have the time to hunt snow geese on a regular basis I would just like to give it a shot this year and try something new.

I would be happy to point out to you where many people hunt near Stanwood.  If the weather conditions are right you should be able to take a few this year.  Costs $15.00 for season long land owner access.  I don't have decoys but most use the white rags.  They seem to do better the first couple of weeks until the young ones get an education.
We came to hunt!

You can sort of call that spot hunting.  They all sit on white buckets and you sit 50 yards from the next group.  Nothing like 50+ people entirely around you.  If your bird doesn't drop straight down or tries to circle into your decoys it gets 15-20 rounds shot at it.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
