Don't give up hope, I went on a month long Alaska climbing trip three weeks after getting a bunch of loose bodies yanked from my knee.

The bad news is that I was 29!

One of my hunting buddies broke his femur in June.  He went hunting in late season with his bow(and his cane), and dropped a nice 3pt buck.  He got back to the truck and waited for us to show back up so we could pack it out for him.

After having my right ankle fused I had to take the majority of last years hunting
  season off.Over 6 months in a cast and when I got the cast off I stepped off a ladder and busted my Tibia.
    So right back into a cast for another 2 and a half months.. I guess life could be worse.

Russ, Looks like a torn meniscus to me. I had both knees done. If I recall, the surgeon scoped it and I was back on my feet in a week. The doctor told me no running, no jogging ever again. I can walk all I want.
And no jumping. I had to learn to climb down off a log instead of jumping to the ground like I used to.

Doc says the way i described it to him he thinks no meniscus tear.  But have an ortho doc to know for sure.  I have already had one surgery on this knee when i was 22.

Crossing fingers they get you fixed up.  Had surgery on one knee 10yrs ago, broke my ankle 20yrs back and it still reminds me I am no longer young..

Just keep in touch, we will help you, can't let an injury make the freezer empty.

worn out bodies might need a couple acres of parking to and camp for all of use worn out hunters maybe a training camp so the young bucks can pack out for us

Well i tried to go out hunting today.  Took a fellow Hunter out and found that walking in the woods is not good at all.  Looks like I will be sitting out the rest of the early season now.
