Free Elk Rides!
« on: August 28, 2014, 08:20:19 PM »
That's right, it's 100% true and absolutely no charge; elk rides for free! Please apply 425 yards SE of the road intersection on the gated Washington USFS Road # XXXX from 2-6 September 2014. First come, first served. This is a no frills ride......it is a one way ride only  and no refreshments will be provided to riders. For safety purposes, keep your quarters and antlers inside the cart at all times  :IBCOOL:

First, looks like an awesome setup!

I've never pulled an elk out with a trailer behind a bike so I know nothing about it and this might be a dumb question... Are inner fender wells a nice addition to keep body parts from rubbing the wheels and tires creating friction? I know everything will be tied down but things adjust and shift during the ride. Just curious.

Good stuff!  Nice rig, and good luck.

The trailer is an older Hawkeye Bilt MT bike trailer (Hawkeye Bilt Game Carts/Astoria, OR).

How do you like that seat?  Easy on the perineum? Is that a shock absorber system just below the seat cushion?

No shock absorber Shawn, the hardware you see beneath the seat is just part of the mounting/adjustment mechanism.  The seat actually is split so you can adjust either half left or right, depending on what is comfortable.  I have the sides pushed all the way together as I'm a 5' 11" lodgepole pine (grin) and don't need any more width than that.  The seat is very cushy and am looking forward to putting it to the test on some rough roads.  After my last scout trip, I took the stock seat off immediately  :(

Sure thing motg9_6, will look for you swing by on the mountain :)  Would have to charge you a few cold beers for the assistance.
