Yes, he missed but he nailed it at 96 yards. After 20 days in the field that hunt seemed pretty difficult to get into ethical bow range...40yrds. Good thing he was practicing at greater distance.

Regardless how much he practiced at those ranges, that ram could've walked to town and back before that arrow got to him. All in the name of a good tv show, right??
:yeah:
I have been hearing a lot of stories about what I would consider some pretty long range bow shots this season...way more than I ever recall in the past...is 80-100 yards just a new "normal" in bowhunting these days?  Keeping pace with the 1,000 yard rifle guys?  :dunno:

So with that thought, the ram has more of a chance at 120 yards to walk completely clear of the arrow? Where as at, say 40 yards, he has more of a chance of wounding it? Not saying that anyone in their right mind should shoot that far, but an animal can take a step at any distance that could have an outcome on the shot.

Agreed but the odds of that animal moving exponentially increase at those extended ranges.

While I wouldn't disagree with your thinking, at that range

I'm going by what's on this post. 120 yards with a bow, get's paid, most likely a million bucks a year to put up with dipstick Tiffany and he misses. What a *censored*, spoiled, TV host who doesn't know crap from shinola about being about a long distance shooter, ( there is no long distance in where-ever he lives  ) It's all TV hype to sell Tiffany's boobs and idiotic inept vocabulary.  :dunno: :chuckle:
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
