I shot a ruffed grouse today, when I was cleaning the bird I found a big worm in his stomach. Has anyone experienced this before. Should I eat the meat or not?

Should I eat the meat or not?Grouse just might eat worms, y'know. They eat other crawly stuff, too. Salamanders, small snakes....blech. I'm going to start hunting cornish game hens, in a grocery store!
It wasn't just a worm that they eat, it was a parasite worm, that's why I was worried about it. Seems like the grouse had some disease or something like that
Was it IN the stomach or outside the stomach \ in the stomach cavity? Just wondering if you actually opened the stomach? Maybe just trying to study the eating habbits? Or slip of the knive? Was it attached or loose? Any white dots in the meat?Deep freeze and cook well. Process your game quickly and use good sanitation practices. Unless the thing is just infested, the odd worm or something won't detour me. Just part of working with fish and game and even farm life....
