Gutpile bags a bear
«

I'll tell you what. I hunted hard for about 10 years trying to get my first bear and this is #6 since 08'. I wondered if I was just lucky or if maybe I had actually figured these damn things out. Well, I think I can say that it's definitely luck!
I went calling this morning and this hungry girl came in after about 20 minutes. WHAT A THRILL!!! I just can't get enough of this bear hunting. I absolutely love it. She came to the call and stood and stared. She was about 50 yards or so I guess, I didn't range it. I noticed she wasn't real big and I would have passed if this was a spring bear but I'm not so picky in the fall. I waited as long as I could to look for cubs and there were none and let her have it. I used a .308 with 150 grn accubonds and double lunged her. She didn't go 10 yards. Did I mention how much I love bear hunting?

Nice work. Bear has quickly became my favorite animal to hunt. Maybe it's because I'm no good at elk hunting, but I sure love bear hunting.
