Mount Baker
« on: September 05, 2014, 05:20:34 PM »
Newer member, about a year or so now, but this is my first post. I'm seeing allot of posts about the Okanagon area for the High Buck Hunt. As Mount Baker is open also, is anyone looking up that area for the hunt coming up? Lots of area but with very limited press in the forum here. Any ideas or advice for hunting up north around highway 542 area?

Probably going to be packed with people. This is the first year the high hunt is open in that area.

Went for a hike into the wilderness yesterday and found camps already set up! Another horse train was coming in as I was leaving. Can't figure out why people would use horses to pack in a mile. They are in for a real shock if they think they will have any solitude whatsoever. This is going to be a real goat rope.

3nails, what area were you in where there's already camps set up? Seems quite early to be set up already.

The north side of the wilderness. I was shocked at how many people were ALREADY in there!

Or too stupid to know the proper use of the word "too" when criticizing others for their stupidity. ..

You'd be far ahead in the game if you were less concerned with my ability two spell.   :)  lol

And more concerned with keeping a quality "over the counter" experience/hunt just that.    Hint for the one's that drool the most. :mor:
