Yearly Okanagon Grose Trip
« on: September 08, 2014, 07:29:16 AM »
Had another great year! Blues were the dominant take this year.  Very hot, 87-88F, most of the Ruffed Grouse were in the thick cool stuff!  Please post your success!

Pointer photobomb in the background. The one in front looks like he can barely stand to smile! Love it! :chuckle:

I hit the high country but was only able to pick up 6 birds in a couple days of hunting. My dog did all the work flushing the blues out of the cliffs and larch in the high country.

I got 5 ruffs this weekend. 4 last night, 1 this morning. They were all hanging out in kind of a marshy cool wetland area. Stuffed with those blue Oregon Grape berries or whatever you call them ... Over east sorta by Spokane
