New Camera ideas
« on: September 09, 2014, 11:53:20 PM »

My trusty old Sony camera of 10 years just died and I am looking for a replacement. My price range will be around $500. I am looking for durable, easy to use, decent zoom maybe 10X that's what I had before and it was fine.

It will be tossed in a pack, used on the fishing boat just a good solid outdoors camera but nothing too fancy......Its got to fit in the upland vest to take action shots of my buddy flushing pheasants so not too large.....

If I could get just a few makes and models for research that would be very much appreciated. Thanks

For your intended uses you may as well just save your money and use your cell phone camera, 99% of the people out there never take their cameras off of the auto settings to make a difference anyway.

Use the money toward a nice DSLR. :twocents:

Canon PowerShot SX50. Versatile, fairly compact and takes good photos.

Canon sx 260. Fantastic zoom and pocket size. If you don't have your camera with you because it won't fit in your pocket.....
