Way to collect some nice bone Bone!  Great storey about a mountain buck and a die hard getting it done. ;)

Just curious where did yoiur first arrow hit him the week before?  :dunno:

High and behind. in that back high paunch.  Not sure what dumped him backwards unless I caught back muscle. :dunno:  I thought he was done.  I didn't even bother firing another arrow downrange on him.  I stood there in disbelief when he got up and left.

This buck the first arrow hit him in the neck.  He'd have died (and might have) from this shot, though I don't like it.  He was struggling going up the slide.   The second hailmary get another one into him shot hit him square between the shoulders in the back.  It dropped him instantly when it hit him.

An amazing buck (with a long bow no less!) and a great write up.  I love the play by play with pics method of your story.  Thanks for sharing and allowing us to feel like we are there with you!
