RadSav, where are they....?
« on: September 14, 2014, 10:20:20 PM »
Help me, I haven't even pulled my bow out of its case yet....  I've not wanted to waste my time with my Muzzys on my arrows since they are apparently not sharp enough.  Where are your broadheads????

I'm your second cousin once removed in-law for gosh sake, why can't I get your broadheads?

I'm your second cousin once removed in-law for gosh sake, why can't I get your broadheads?

I'm the owner and I've been asking myself the same question for over a year!  I have a crap load of broadhead ferrules.  Problem is almost every one has been rejected :bash:

Between Larry, Del, Star Machine and Citizen Machine I do not have in my possession a single Titanium Signature ferrule!  I've been told they will run in two weeks every two weeks for many months.  And I've been told this same thing from a handful of shops I have working on it.  Everyone seems to want the job until they have the job!

Soon none will have the job as we are a week away from ordering our own machine to run these parts.  Just waiting on both Star and Citizen to verify we are looking at the right machines.  You may not want to let anyone know you are related to me once you find out how much debt we will be in the next week!  Oh man signing that paperwork and writing that check is going to hurt and hurt BAD!  Gotta spend money to make money right? I'm a nervous wreck :puke:

Last Tuesday I received some aluminum ferrules for the MadMan and the TripleSec that look good!  They are at anodizing now.  Once they came back from plating and get two final inspection approvals I'll know if they are ready to ship.  Family members that have crab to barter with might get a package in the mail next week :tung:

I've promised Bowhunter45 the very first package we ship.  After that I should have 1,000 more packages right behind it!

Loki - you are wanting the pink ones with the small cutting diameter, right? :chuckle:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Anger and fear of debt seem to effect my typing and grammar!

:'( me a river.....   Seriously though, I'm not sure I could do what you are.

I have put 80 crab in the boat so far and have a couple weeks left, maybe even through the end of Dec. if the state gives it to us.

Pink, chartreuse, fuscia, whatever the color, but hopefully over 1" wide.   ;)  Of course, our deer are kind of tiny, and they do eat almost out of my hand, so maybe narrow will work.    8)

May your dreams come true, or at least your needs.

:'( me a river.....   Seriously though, I'm not sure I could do what you are.

It's really pretty easy.  You cut a dozen purchase orders for $80,000 to a hand full of shops and then wait.  And then wait.  And then wait.  And then wait.  And then wait.  And then wait.  And then wait.  And then wait.  And then wait...

Hardest part is telling everyone, "I'm waiting."  :chuckle:

Of course, our deer are kind of tiny, and they do eat almost out of my hand, so maybe narrow will work.

I've killed elk with Zwickey Black Diamond Deltas (1.375"), Rothaar Snuffers (1.50"), Rocky Mountain Supreme (1.50"), Thunderhead 160 (1.25"), Anderson 3&4 blade models (1.50"), Calmont Super-2 (1.50") and all but one I had to blood trail.  The vast majority of my elk have been killed with .875" to 1.125" heads.  I'd guess that 75% of those required zero blood trailing.  I'd also guess that 75% of CL's elk have required zero blood trailing and most were taken using .875" broadheads and he has never used a head larger than 1.125" that I am aware of.

So I'm not so sure size of animal has anything to do with it.  Broadhead diameter beyond legal limits...I've never seen evidence it has much of anything to do with recovery distance either.  But, getting good arrow flight in all weather conditions certainly does!  Blade quality certainly does!  And keeping blades EXTREMELY sharp most certainly does!

I know Del will be pleased to know even family wants his head/blade profile over mine and CL's.  He's been trying to tell me that it doesn't matter how short the blood trail is...it's how big the hole looks in the glory photo!  :chuckle:  If everyone liked Chevy there would be no need for Ford or Dodge.  So I'm more than happy to give you whatever you want.  But since the door is open on color I might need to draw some purple polka dots on some pink ferrules for you.  They'll be SWEET!

I'm sorry Rad, I had to draw blood with my SlickTricks this year  :sry: I am looking forward to testing out your heads late deer season (?) though. Or maybe next year elk hunting  :peep:
