Early goose hunt in memory of Yella
« on: September 15, 2014, 10:52:21 AM »
Finally found some birds to make a play on for early goose. Found em Friday night and got permission to hunt em on Saturday morning. Went and scouted them again Saturday night to make sure they came back and we'd be good to go Sunday and found guys had setup that evening and proceeded the shoot em up. With no other options we decided to be the clean up crew and still set up Sunday morning. Results were above my expectations and the majority of the birds we saw did it just right. Lost my hunting dog Yella last week. Got hit by a car which is a shame and definitely was a tough loss to take as she was only three and was really coming along. Any how this hunt was for her and I sure wish she could been there.

Good shoot and sorry to hear about your dog. I can't imagine what I would do if I lost one of my dogs. They are my kids and make me smile every day. I like that collage. Pretty cool

Thanks. She even got a couple months worth of training with your uncle when she was younger. He sure knows what he's doing.

Glad to see you boys still tore em up while I was over east NOT slinging any arrows at deer. I sure will miss Yella body slamming wounded geese this year. Hopefully ol Bear can step it up.
