Big Tom spotted over my weekend
« on: September 24, 2014, 12:26:21 PM »
so went for a camping/hunting trip with my other half over my weekend (monday/Tuesday) and it was a great trip, but we had run into town and grab some supplies (Coffee)

on our way back up the hill after going into town we come around a corner and on the side of the road i see a big brown cat ( mind you ive only seen one cougar in the wild in my entire life and that was 15 years ago) so i see this and im thinking in my head "god dang thats a big bob cat!" and then it turns and starts to run and i see that big ole tail fly up and i yell out "$hi* thats a cougar!!"

by now im completely in awe and dont know what the heck to do so the truck is stop go stop go stop go dont know what to do and my girl finally yells "stop the (gosh dang) truck and shoot the (freaker)" so i finally stop and get with it but then im lost on what to shoot at it with, i got the 9mm under the seat..(no im not a very good shot with that) i got the .17 in the center of the truck (come on now bigger man!) and the 270wsm in the back (ah ok grab that dummy) so finally get with it get out and i turn aim and in one leap..... gone...

so moral is, im a dummy and need to get with it wayyyyy faster.. completely embarassed but excited at what we saw i look at her and say that was awesome! and sit there for an hour to see if anything moves but sadly nothin happens

just thought i would share the weekend with y'all
