I was elk hunting at Tampico and around clear lake, last weekend, and saw fresh bear sign in both areas. One guy saw fresh prints in the mud.

One of my students got pics on his trail cam this week of a really nice bear (250+). The cool part is that its in about 4" of snow. Think what that hide would be like

I saw a couple of tracks the other day.  Followed them to a creek that had a bunch of dead salmon in it.

How about going into your chicken coop last night in the dark to close them up and coming face to face with a 275lb to 300lb bear blowing at you 10 feet away, while eating the layer pellets out of the hen house.  :yike: I honestly don't think there is enough laundry detergent to clean my shorts. Just happy it was me and not my wife, I think I would have had to commit her. :chuckle:

I never thought they would be still looking for food.

The snow should have put them away. That is a nice bear you got a pic of.
