Garmin Delta Upland

Is anyone using one of these collars? If so, how do you like it so far? My Dogtra setup is tanking for the second time so the time has come for something new.

I got the older G3 upland and had a terrible time trying to get my dog trained on the beeper,  for days I left it doing the beep,  I stuffed it full of cotton to mute the beep.   I put it in the dogs sleeping area and finally got her to pretty much ignore it.

Then I put it on her, and repeated the process for a week or better, taped the speaker and then stuffed full of cotton to no avail.

Dog hated that beeper, and so did I.

If you can step up a few more bucks I'd go with the GPS  :twocents:
If not, then just use a bell.

I know there's some competition rules on beepers, and some only allow bells but I'm not up to speed on trials.

I have an Astro so GPS is covered.

I just want a beeper on an e-collar setup so I can locate the dog(s) in cover. I have the TT stand alone beeper but I don't need to hear it all of the time. Used to run with an LCS Northwoods bell but the constant clatter seemed to mess with one of my dog's hearing so I stopped using a bell.

I use the same beeper on a different TT collar set on point only mode. The tone I like the best is hawk screech.

I have the collar and am overall happy with it so far. With this collar they moved to a medium size contact points that are fixed which was fine for my last shorthair, we'll see how I get on with it next season with a medium coat GWP...and at this point I don't have a GPS collar, so I'd like to get an Alpha if I can when the time comes.
