It is amazing how much bigger they get when they are not shot as  1 1/2 year olds.  My guess is that our little deer here put on about ten pounds of meat each year through at least an age of 3 1/2.

As fat and plump as he looks, I'm a little disappointed with the amount of meat... I thought he would have at least 45 pounds but turned out to only be 40 1/2 pounds plus heart and liver.

Gutted hanging weight was 102 1/2 pounds when everything was totaled.
