The "Claw" best sling I have ever owned, all my rifles have them. They stay on your shoulder where you put them.

I make my own, because I couldn't find one I like on the market out off the millions that are offered (yeah I am a bit picky).
Ultralightweight, quiet, and has a loop so it can be a shooting sling too.

James, post a pic so we can see. Did you make it out of leather?

Here is one of my prototypes, I am still not happy with a few things (way better for my needs than anything I could find to buy though), so I will continue tweaking.
I haven't done a leather one yet, but it's on the to do list.

I like USGI web slings for simplicity (and they make great shooting slings) but recently I received an RC-2 "Riflemans Essential Sling" from Rifle-Craft.com (he's a local boy from the Palouse). It's made of the same material as a USGI web sling but it is MUCH more user friendly (read faster) to use as a loop sling. It's similar in design to the Rhodesian Sling offered by Andy's Leather but I dont like leather slings (I've got a holster from him and Andy does great leather work). I haven't had a change to shoot with the RC-2 yet but I've done a lot of dry fire with it since I got it yesterday and it seems every bit as stable as a USGI web sling in the loop sling configuration. I'll be ordering several of these for my rifles.
Maybe not super light compared to other choices but I dont worry about weight so much that I'd sacrifice a good shooting sling from my kit.
