Cougar outfitter?
« on: November 23, 2014, 12:03:10 PM »
I'm looking into doing a cougar hunt in 2018. With little knowledge of hunting cats I would hire an outfitter/guide to go with. So I'm starting my research now and if any of you out there have done a hunt like this, who did you go with or recommend? Or what state is better than the other? I'm looking into Idaho, Montana, Utah, Arizona, and Wyoming. I am aware that some states require a special draw to hunt. Thank you for any information provided.

I'd look at Bearpaw Outfitters website to start with and talk to Dale, not just because he runs this site, but because his hunts look pretty interesting.  I haven't gone with him for cougar, but I'm hoping to someday.

If money was not a issue and your looking for a big cat, I would look at Tracks N Trails Outfitting in Alberta.

Checkout Bearcat Outfitters; site sponsor here.  I've hunted with Neil and he does both cougar and lynx in B.C.
