He liked them and says Aaron is a genius. He would get a gun, mount the scopes and sight in all the guns. He said he'd shoot 2-3000 rounds per week. His favorite caliber was the 6CXS (CSX) not sure the order of it. He wants to get the G7 scope. He now works for the gold mine here, so he doesn't work for them anymore.

Yep, have a 7mm mag LR 1000. very accurate, well manufactured. The Rangefinder is also something to get if you are going to step up and spend the money, they are very well designed! Can program multiple rifle configs for MOA/yardage hold overs, also function to 5 mph increment for associated load wind drifts too.

remember what you are getting. All the work up for accuracy, the shoot in, research for load, scope with specific turret data. These have mostly a modified reciever area to accept longer ammo as they seat close to land. Most factory rifles wont allow magazine to breech with this longer COAL.

Many will argue that you can build your own cheaper, which is mostly true, but if you dont have the time to work all the above at a range and on your reloading bench, the money is well invested....

Yep, out of the box, was very comfortable shooting 1/2 mile + (800+yds). For OP, if you are not shooting for competition (which i assume), rather hunting application, this works well... and the 1/2 minute accuracy sell point is fair assesment of rifle. You will be the limiting factor at distance, not the 1/2MOA...

I'd go with RBros. Don't need some gimmicky infomercial/show to sell their rifles.  Theirs go to shooting competitions,  not the editing room.

I have no personal experience with them, but I've have bought several used customs from $1500 to $2500.  With the $3000-6000 I saved, I could buy alpha glass, enough loading components to wear out the barrel, and still be money ahead.

I always recommend buying used unless you've got money to burn, then you should buy one in 223ai, 6.5saum, and 375wby.

I have shot bird dogs rifle at 500 and 770 yards.  It is one sweet rifle, the extra long, titanium action is lighter then a standard rem short action.  .5 moa at 800 without a doubt.

That rifle looks good on paper, never heard anything about them. Also haven't heard of a half inch MOA guarantee    I kid... I kid... If it delivers that's a good price.

One thing I don't get, though, is why you would put a 6.2 pound rifle with a 24oz scope? Very light rifle with a pretty heavy scope. I do like the VX6 line and am tempted to put one on my AI. But do I want the extra weight? At a min I'd be adding 4oz and up from there.

Taco, mine does perform within 1/2 MOA. As it sounds as if you are a shooter, you most certainly understand that getting from 1 to 1/2 MOA is mostly driven by the guy pulling the trigger... I am happy with this rifle, if i had a 1K range within an hour's drive, i probably would have parted together a gun. As i spoke above, just no time or location to get one done and over the long haul, this was a good investement...

Just got back a VX6 from leupold with a turret ground for my 340 wby mag. Will let you know how this one shoots with the 300Gr bergers.....

Cuz its much lighter than the nightforce. Also hope to handle 338 lapua without a brake. 338 win is no problem at all. Not sure on light lapua.

Hows the image on the VX6 vs a new VX3?

I opted to go with the FX3 6x42 with CDS on my AI. For targets I like more magnification, but on game I usually left my scope on 5-6x and don't recall actually shooting at an animal much, if any, above that. If I ever get a chance to go hunting again I'll be able to try it out and see if I want to change or not. As it is, will be doing sling loads in the Netherlands before going to Poland so really can't complain 

And no OPSEC violation with that info
