Twin Albino Deer Update
« on: December 12, 2008, 05:48:50 AM »
First of all, thanks for posting my photos of the twin albino whitetails. They were posted by Ridinshotgun on May 22, 2008. I thought you may like to see some more photos and get an update.
It's quite an experience to have albino deer feeding in my backyard on a daily basis. Not to mention they happen to be twins. There's nothing I like more than deer hunting and it's legal to harvest albino whitetails in here in Minnesota. After nearly two years of the twins feeding in my backyard, they have become accustomed to my family going in and out of my house. Now they don't even run away any more!
All of a sudden the "thrill of the hunt" is gone for me. I mean, if your just going to stand there ... then I'm not shooting!
Besides, Albinos are lucky! By passing on the twins opening day of the 2007 Mn. deer season, the "Deer Gods" rewarded me with a 210# 10 pointer! Good albinos Goood albinos!
Anyway, if you would like to see more of the twins, you can go to this link; http://kstp.com/article/stories/S348404.shtml?cat=1&v=1 Local TV from Minneapolis did a segment on them from my home. They are only 35' from my patio door so the film crew got some great footage. Thanks for your interest!

Great looking buck, albinos are very cool, and I love the Browning feeder. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the replies and compliments. The number of albino whitetails around here is incredible. Besides the twins that feed in my backyard, I know of 7 others that live just a few miles from my home.
According to www.backwoodswisconsin, the odds of seeing three albinos at the same time is 1 in 79 billion. Check out this photo I took of four. I wonder what the odds of this are.
I envy all of you. Washington is the most beautiful state of them all!

Washington is not only the greatest state, but it has some great people in it too! Thanks for welcoming me to your site and all the interest in the albinos. I'll be photographing more of the albinos this winter so I'll check in once in a while and send you my latest photos.
Again, I thank you!

WOW! That's a beautiful example of a piebald buck. He looks like he has a huge body.
