Did you bleed your breaks?  I would do that and then see what it does.

No I haven't. I'm kinda thinking to buy a new caliper for that side and try to figure out how to bleed them

There should be a bleeder valve on top of the calipers.  That may solve your issue.

Your caliper is stuck and you can fix it if it needs bleeding.

Worse case is the pistons on the caliper are rusted.  If they worked perfectly before the pad change.  You have air in your line is my bet.

so i should try bleeding the brake lines before purchasing a new caliper? the pistons on the caliper looked pretty tore up..

Yes just put the new Caliper on and make sure the bleeder screw is facing up answer then open the bleeder and without pumping the brakes let it run out. After a couple of minutes of this then tighten bleeder  screw and have someone get in and have them lightly push on the brake pedal, open up the bleeder and have them push it to the floor and hold it. Close bleeder and release. Should be all done and good firm brake pedal

Before you start...

take the break fluid container off and put a plastic lunch bag or something like it and put the cap back on it. This will hold a vacuum with the break fluid while you take the line off the caliper.

I'm sure if you look there are lots of videos that show how to bleed your brakes.
Dbl check your job, and flush in new fluid.  Should do that every3-5 years anyway.

Good luck

two new calipers and be done. I suggest changing calipers in pars so you don't get brake pull.

:yeah: I will add that if you are not confident in your own knowledge on this job, DON'T DO IT. This is your brake system you are dealing with. There is some very dangerous advice handed out on this thread without even knowing what kind of rig we are talking about.  :twocents:

sorry about that but yes only replace calipers in pairs... have turned down more than one job because customer would not replace both .

not a fan of Les Schwab on brakes. I know why they do what they do I just don't agree with it.
