Cow/bull? What size?  Where was back cut made - how far behind shoulders.  Frozen? Salted?

 Bull...
Can't answer rest because I haven't killed it yet. Don't want to spend a bunch of time caping it of no one is interested in cape. No one in Spokane is. I know of guys getting $200-$300 outside of state.

You could always do a Euro on the skull and then have the full hide done hair on for a wall hanging.

Congrats on filling your tag, Bar C3!

Keeping this thread alive... I have a large bull moose cape still attached to the head (didn't want to mess it up!) that I'm looking to sell. Anyone know of a taxidermist that is interested, I'd love to know.
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

Hirsey,
Please get the cape off the head tonight. Too much heat in the skull for that cape to keep for long. It will mess up for sure if you don't remove it. unless it's frozen. I'm sure you'll attract a lot of suitors I mean helpers if you need.  :)

It's in a walk-in cooler. I was told I probably have until Monday with it.  :dunno: If I don't find anyone by tomorrow, I have a guy that said he'd finish caping it for $50 and let me worry about finding a buyer later.  :dunno: I just don't want it to go to waste... too much more fuss and I'm just turning it into leather.

Mine is sold! It was nice.. I went inside to get my special permit and came back out and he was telling the younger guy with him that normally people don't take that good care of capes and this was the exception not the rule. Felt good to get it to a good home.
