Green River Watershed
« on: September 30, 2014, 09:12:29 PM »
My buddy drew a Green River Watershed deer tag. I haven't been in there for 4 years, anybody have an more recent information? He would like to walk more than drive, but shooting a good buck is his goal.

Green River?

Is this the Green River that flows NW of Mt. St. Helens?

If so, I hope your buddy has a WEYCO permit...

No, The Green River Watershed. City of Tacomas water shed, near Cumberland and Enumclaw.

have him pm me. My good friend and neighbor is the head dude in there. I know that area well. Taken some nice critters out of there. Is he modern or what. Nice to beat the Indian hunters in there for a prime blackey!

I would love to have that tag. I worked up there about 15 years ago. We seen some real whoppers about 4 miles from Lester on a road up to the left. It has been a long time ago, but I'm sure tje quality is still there.

You're probably talking about Eagle Lakes or Smay Creek. That area has held some real nice bucks in the past, but I hear it's real overgrown now. Like I said, I haven't been in there in a few years, so I have no idea where they've been logging, and where the big bucks are hanging out now.

Paiges Flats huh? I know that's a good place for elk, I didn't know to look for deer there too. Thanks for the info. I'll have him talk to your neighbor, I know who you're talking about.
