Ken and Lisa do amazing work have been recommending them for years they are great people to share a camp with as they make some tasty meals

They are incredible people and produce excellent work... they have my Idaho mule deer right now, too.

Hey hirshey! How does your moose taste? My idaho bull is the best tasting and most tender game animal i have ever eaten! Hope yours is good too!

The taste is incredibly mild.. Pretty much picks up whatever seasoning you put on it... Thompson Meats up in Twisp helped me cut it up; it was so tender we opted for more steaks than grind. I've enjoyed every cut so far, and it has been wonderfully tender. :) the mustard-encrusted loin slabs were a dream!

Just catching up on hunt-wa stories! Amazing story! Let me know when you become a guide, I'd love to be your first client! You obviously know how to get it done! Congrats again. Moose is my favorite table fair so far. Although a moose is a lot to eat for one person, but I got it done

Hirshey,
First of all, very nice bull and I too am a huge fan of euro mounts, especially on a moose since they have such a long skull.
After admiring your moose, I was just re-reading the Oct-Nov 2012 Eastmans Journal and recognized you with a very nice buck as well.  You are quite the hunter, congratulations.

Thank you all....

I am a much better deer hunter than I am moose.. seeing as it IS a OIL tag and all.  :chuckle: I was a little younger when my father drew his and didn't get to participate.. definitely have the bug now, though! I'd tag along for sure if someone wants/needs help next season! ...IF I'm not either guiding or transitioning into a career out of wildland fire.

I am trying to track down an official scorer since the 60 day drying period is past now, and will look at potentially entering him in the books.

I was going to put the moose euro in with my other boys, but he makes them look pitiful! Happy new years from the boys in my life that are always around.  :chuckle: Minus my Idaho bucks from the previous two seasons.

Thanks Buckblaster.. that was a buck and memories I'll treasure for a lifetime. Neat to have it captured in Eastman's. And I've been using my Lowa boots I won from that hunt the last two or three years and they're still going strong... same boots I wore moose hunting AND in Idaho.

A little lower..

Made all-time B&C by the skin of his teeth.. 155 0/8. I guessed 156 and my friend Wayne guessed 153. Price is Right rules means I owe him a Coors.  :chuckle:
