Thanks - Wenas elk hunters
« on: October 05, 2014, 11:35:34 AM »
After the dog and I were done chasing chukar, we headed up the Mt. to drive around and explore. I had a map and GPS, figured we drive around for a an hour or so and make our way over to Wenas Lake, from the south. Well, got a text that the ole man was having congestive heart failure, needed to down off mt. And to Richland...no problem I thought, several roads head north and connect with Wenas rd...so I thought. After a couple failed attempts that took me to dead ends (waste of an hour and a half), I asked directions from several folks, they all did their part to get me back to pavement as quick as possible. Thanks again...and dad is doing ok, couple day stay to get fluid off lungs and back home he will be

Glad to hear he is doing better.   Yes, those roads are a bit confusing and I live here.  I am glad someone could help you and that you had the tires to persevere.

I didn't realize how bad the roads were until I was up there...towards the end I was going way faster than I should have been. I am very surprised I didn't brake something on my truck or like you alluded to, blow a tire.
