gmu 113 & 117
« on: October 07, 2014, 09:48:02 PM »
for you guys & gals heading over to Selkirk or 49 this year. come on over to the Camas Center for Community Wellness where I work and say hi. :hello:
We have a deli with hot food
[smg id=11892]
 hot-tub
[smg id=11887]
pools
[smg id=11885]
steam & dry saunas & hot showers, for a minimal fee :twocents:, we provide the towels.
if you are just going to grab something to eat or just have a look around, just tell the folks at the front desk and they'll admit you without charge. also if you are wanting to shower but are not going to swim or sit in the hot-tub just tell the front desk staff and they may give you a discount instead of charging you for a daypass.
we are located 1.8 miles north of the Usk bridge on LeClerc rd. right behind the church on the Kalispel Indian Reservation. where the Buffalo corrals used to be. our herd is still there but we have moved the round-up corrals closer to the river.
Might be the only time you go out deer hunting & get asked "did you bring your swimsuit?"
normal hours are Mon-Fri 6am-8pm, Sat 8am-8pm, Sun 9am-6pm, pools close 1/2 an hour before the building does due to sanitization lifeguards do everyday.

Are you open year round? I probably won't be over until late deer season.

Thanks runningboard we might have to stop by. I was originally going to head up to 113, but was looking at heading up towards Kettle Falls. How is the NF camping up in 113?

Also how is the deer population? I heard it was a little sparse in 113 from a bad winter a few years ago.

Luteai, yes
Sitka_blacktail, yes, we close on sundays during the summer due to lack of traffic in our building but normal hours are Mon-Fri 6am-8pm, Sat 8am-8pm, Sun 9am-6pm, pools close 1/2 before the building does due to sanitaztion lifeguards do everyday.
Sportfury, camping areas abound in the NF, can't say about deer population with any authority but from my observations, I'd say the info you have is correct, population does seem down.

Population is down from historic norms, but certainly there are deer to be had.  Big ones too.   I am normally over there moosing right now and would have loved to stop by.  I normally take a picnic lunch or two on the river just up from you.  I guess thats downstream. :)

Are you open year round? I probably won't be over until late deer season.
was thinking about your question today and thought to myself, "have him look at the picture of the pools, there is snow on the ground outside when I took those pictures."
we are only closed on Sundays during the summer from memorial day until labor day, and only like 5-6 days other than that all year. late season is my favorite time to hunt deer over here.
