Maybe the WA NRA should buy some media time, money talks. Or do they want to let it pass knowing it will and then fight it in court for a permanent solution? I just read the initiative and there are some positive things in it but on the flipside there are some things I consider negatives. I will vote NO because of these, not because somebody else told me to. The way your statement came across, Silverdalesauer, was to me, the same way the "vote yes" crowd is trying to get their point across, with sensationalism, "Don't let your step daddy shoot your mom, vote yes 594". Tell people the facts, let them decide for themselves and accept the fact when democracy functions the way it is supposed to.
I have talked with liberal friends/aquaintances on this issue. Almost uniformally they have said this is a non issue Why would i oppose this? i have asked them if they have read the bill and/or if they were even slightly worried about registration and confiscation. ALL have taken the Ostrage approch and just stuck thier head in the sand. Several stated that Confiscation could/would never happen in the USA. I pointed out a couple of examples where its already started and they just shook thier head at me.History IS repeating itself (as it usually does) and the most dangerouse people to be around are those who are both arrogant & Ignorant.
