Quick recap of the weekend. It was a huge learning curve!!! We hunted drove up Saturday morning/Friday night. We left Palmer at midnight and got there just before 7am. Got a bite to eat and talked to a few locals. Hunted all day Saturday and part of Sunday. I now know 100% more about that area lol

We watched three bull moose over 55" (seasons closed) and I have no idea how many monster caribou (quotas filled). Lots of buffalo tracks in the week old snow but they had moved out of the little assigned area we could hunt. Made some great contacts with farmers and got a few more hunts lined up for this season, its open until end of March!
What we did shoot, GROUSE! LOL yes big difference than buffalo but since it was obvious around lunch on Sunday we would not be taking a taste buffalo home I started poping some birds. We honestly saw 50+ grouse a day and thats a low number. Took my 10 home with me and a BONUS fox. It actually ran out onto the farm rd we were walking a snagged a grouse right in front of us. Quickly put the 12ga down a pulled the 223 off my shoulder and had a grouse and a fox in one shot

Took a ton of pics, I'll post them in the next day or two hopefully.
