Yakama reservation opener
«

Hunted 1/2 day on the reservation today. Put up one small covey of quail and nothing more. Nobody we talked to had even seen a phez (at least that they would admit to
)
I'm new here but did much better last year on quail at least. What did everybody else see?

There are even better spots beside pump house... They are there, you need to venture further south, big hint! Bought gas yesterday for under 3.00. 2.96 before any Safeway credits!

I didn't have any luck, had two fly by out of range while hunting, then a huge rooster flew in front of the truck on the way out. I heard quite a few gunshots right at 6:40, don't know if they got anything. I was hunting off of pumphouse as well.

Diesel was at $3.45, but I wasn't gonna sit in that line, it ran out into the street every time I went by. Reminded me of the gas lines in late 70's early 80's, kinda funny.

Pretty disappointing so far. Went to our usual haunts that produce a plethora of Callipepla californica and managed to get up three small coveys.

The yakamart at 97 & fort is cheapest in Toppenish and kountry Korner is 3 miles west of wolfden at lateral a & w wapato and they're usually same or 2 cents higher than wolfden. Both those alternatives are busy but shorter lines.
