In Alaska
« on: October 12, 2014, 12:38:34 PM »
Up in Alaska on a military detachment   Enjoying my time on the interior of Alaska, just wish these air force guys did a little more predator hunting.  Cant seem to get any of them to take a squid out for some fox or wolf hunting :bash:  Decided to fish instead.  Have been catching the largest rainbows in my life,  and lake trout.  Some of my buddies have been catching char and greylings.  No pike yet but hopefully soon.  While out came across some very interesting tracks and saw a moose yesterday

More pictures.  The power bait, and shrimp have been working wonders.  Usually waiting time between fish is 5 seconds to 20 minutes.  Have had no luck with spinners and using live fish is illegal here.  Really want to land a pike, maybe I will get lucky and one will grab a trout as I am landing one :chuckle:  Did a little predator calling last night to see if I could call in a fox and all I called in were ravens :IBCOOL:
